The Horse and His Boy is a fantasy novel by C.S. Lewis, part of The Chronicles of Narnia series, about a boy named Shasta who escapes slavery in the land of Calormen with a talking horse, Bree, and later joins forces with a runaway princess and her horse to warn Narnia of an impending invasion. Set during the reign of the Pevensie children in Narnia, the story follows their perilous journey north, uncovering a plot to attack Archenland and Narnia, and features familiar characters from other books in the series.
